WisdomTree lists 15 tokenized funds as assets cross $1.2B | RWA Insider

$1.2B WisdomTree Lists 15 Tokenized Funds, 96% In WTGXX

Key Points

  • WisdomTree launched WisdomTree Onchain on 29 September 2026 as its tokenized fund assets crossed $1.2 billion, up from $770 million in January.
  • Roughly 96% of that $1.27 billion sits in WTGXX alone, which RWA.xyz ranks fifth among tokenized Treasury products by size.
  • WTGXX trades around the clock across eight chains including Solana and Base, and a DeFi stablecoin already holds it in reserves.

WisdomTree pulled its tokenized fund business under one brand on 29 September 2026, launching WisdomTree Onchain as assets across the ecosystem passed $1.2 billion, up from roughly $770 million in January. WisdomTree called it “the largest lineup of tokenized registered funds in the market”, counting 15 SEC-registered funds across eight public blockchains. For a wallet holder the number that matters is not $1.2 billion but 96%, because that is the share sitting in a single Treasury money market fund you can now reach on Solana, Base or Arbitrum.

WisdomTree Onchain Pulls Four Platforms Into One

The rebrand gathers four things that already existed. WisdomTree Prime is the mobile app for United States individual investors, carrying tokenized funds, yield, gold and stablecoin connectivity.

WisdomTree Connect hands institutions and B2B2C distributors the same lineup through a portal and published API documentation.

The Onchain Transfer Agent issues and services the share records. Onchain Markets, a dealer-principal venue for more tokenized funds and ETFs, is still in development and may not ship at all.

The 15 registered funds behind it span money market, equity, fixed income, asset allocation and alternative strategies.

What a wallet can reach today is the fund itself, deployed on Ethereum Mainnet, Arbitrum, Avalanche, Base, Optimism, Plume, Solana and Stellar. Buying it still means an account and KYC, not a swap.

Where The $1.225B Actually Sits

Tokenized assets stood at about $1.27 billion on 25 September. WTGXX, the WisdomTree Treasury Money Market Digital Fund, held about $1.225 billion of that.

That is roughly 96% in one fund, with 14 others splitting what is left.

What WTGXX holds is unglamorous: United States government securities and other eligible short-term assets, wrapped so the shares themselves move on-chain.

The growth is real enough. The tokenized book opened 2025 near $30 million, closed the year around $770 million, and has added about 65% since.

Set against the $167.9 billion WisdomTree runs in total, though, the onchain business is still under one percent of the firm.

Independent tracking from RWA.xyz puts WTGXX fifth by size among tokenized Treasury products, behind BlackRock’s BUIDL, Circle’s USYC, Ondo’s USDY and Franklin Templeton’s BENJI.

Strip away the rebrand and this is really about one Treasury fund that trades around the clock and is already backing someone else’s stablecoin.

To compare yields across tokenized treasuries, that ranking is the place to start, because four products sit above this one.

WTGXX Reserves, MoonPay And 35M Accounts

WTGXX stopped being a buy-and-hold wrapper in February 2026, when WisdomTree opened 24/7 trading and instant settlement for it under SEC exemptive relief the firm called first of its kind.

In March a payroll pilot with Plume and Toku let employees take part of their compensation in yield-bearing fund shares.

In April the fund appeared in the reserve framework for LotusUSD, a DeFi protocol’s stablecoin, and on Stable Sea’s treasury platform.

On 17 September MoonPay agreed to make WTGXX reachable across more than 35 million accounts, and said it would use the fund for its own stablecoin reserve management.

That is the same play RWA Insider covered in June, when Franklin Templeton pushed BENJI into MoonPay swaps, and it landed at one-time KYC rather than a permissionless mint.

Distribution has widened too, through HashKey in Hong Kong and Marketnode and Synthesys in Singapore.

WisdomTree also led a $136 million Series C in Fnality International, pushing itself into wholesale settlement plumbing rather than only fund issuance.

It says it is now working with other registered fund issuers that want their products on-chain, which would make the 14 quiet crates somebody else’s funds rather than its own.

Secondary-market liquidity through WisdomTree Securities depends on available inventory, which is the line to read twice before treating any of this as exit liquidity.

Whether the other 14 funds pull real money is what decides if this is a platform or one fund with a brand around it. Onchain Markets is still unbuilt, so for now the answer sits with WTGXX.

Four tokenized Treasury products are larger than this one, and the gaps between them are where the yield decisions get made.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is WTGXX and why does it hold 96% of WisdomTree’s tokenized assets?

WTGXX is the WisdomTree Treasury Money Market Digital Fund, a regulated tokenized fund built on United States government securities and other eligible short-term assets. It held roughly $1.225 billion of the ecosystem’s $1.27 billion in late September. The other 14 funds launched later and have not attracted comparable assets yet.

Can I buy WTGXX from a wallet without KYC?

No. WTGXX is an SEC-registered fund, so access runs through WisdomTree Prime for United States individual investors or through a distributor, and that means an account and identity checks. The fund shares live on public chains, but the buying route is not permissionless.

Which chains is WTGXX available on?

WisdomTree’s digital funds are deployed on Ethereum Mainnet, Arbitrum, Avalanche, Base, Optimism, Plume, Solana and Stellar. That eight-chain spread is what WisdomTree is calling the largest lineup of tokenized registered funds in the market.

How does WTGXX compare to BlackRock’s BUIDL?

RWA.xyz ranks WTGXX fifth among tokenized Treasury products by size, behind BUIDL, Circle’s USYC, Ondo’s USDY and Franklin Templeton’s BENJI. BUIDL leads the group, so WTGXX is a mid-table product in a market where the top names set the terms.
