$3.8B Tokenized Stocks See 55x DEX Volume, BNB Chain Leads
Key Points
- DWF Labs reports tokenized stocks grew 483% this year, from $654 million in early January to $3.8 billion by early October.
- Weekly spot volume on decentralized exchanges rose 55 times to $2.54 billion, while Ondo Finance’s market share fell from 56% to 26%.
- For a $1,000 wallet, BNB Chain now holds 32% of stock tokens, and $313 million of them is already deployed in DeFi.
Tokenized stocks grew 483% this year to $3.8 billion, and weekly trading on decentralized exchanges rose 55 times, DWF Labs reported on Oct. 16. The Crypto Times, which covered the report, said the volume jump shows “more of these digital assets are changing hands.” For your wallet, the more useful number is smaller: stock tokens deployed in DeFi went from $15.5 million to $313 million, and BNB Chain now holds the biggest slice of the market.
DWF Labs Clocks A 483% Run To $3.8B In Stock Tokens
DWF Labs published its tokenized stock tally on Oct. 16, and the curve is steep.
The market grew 483%, from $654 million in the week of Jan. 5 to $3.8 billion in the week of Oct. 5.
Trading grew faster than value. Weekly spot volume on decentralized exchanges rose from $45.8 million in early January to $2.54 billion in early October.
The peak came in the week of Aug. 31, at $7.26 billion. Robinhood Chain alone handled $5.36 billion of that.
That one week shows how quickly stock token volume can concentrate on a single chain.
More issuers explain the jump. Binance launched bStocks in June, Robinhood entered in July, and Securitize brought tokenized shares to Avalanche the same month.
For a DeFi user, more issuers means more tokens, more chains and more pools to trade them in.

BNB Chain Takes 32% As Ondo’s Share Slides To 26%
The chain map flipped this year. Ethereum held 50% of tokenized equities in January and 22% by October.
BNB Chain went the other way, from 9% to 32%, helped by the bStocks launch. Avalanche climbed from zero to 9%.
Issuers reshuffled too, and The Crypto Times frames it as Binance and Robinhood challenging Ondo’s lead.
Ondo Finance still leads with about $1 billion, but its share fell from 56% to 26%.
xStocks grew from $187 million to $954 million, a 25% share. Binance’s bStocks reached $905 million, or 24%.
Robinhood went from $20 million to $170 million, and Securitize reached $290 million, or 8%.
For a DeFi user, this matters less as a market-size milestone than as a liquidity test: how much of that $3.8 billion actually reaches pools a wallet can use.
Here is the answer so far. Tokenized equities deployed in DeFi rose from $15.5 million on Jan. 1 to $313 million on Oct. 15.
That is real growth, but still a fraction of the $3.8 billion total, so check pool depth before you size a trade.

Token Terminal’s $4B Count And The $313M DeFi Test
A second data set lands close by. Token Terminal put tokenized stocks at $4 billion on Oct. 16, across 18 blockchains.
By its count, BNB Chain ranks first with $1.5 billion, or 36.5%. Solana holds $732.2 million, or 18.1%.
BNB Chain, Ethereum and Solana together hold 75.5% of the market.
Lower down, X Layer holds $260.2 million and Arbitrum One $196.2 million. Robinhood Chain holds $148.1 million and Base $48.3 million.
If your wallet lives on Arbitrum or Base, expect fewer stock tokens to choose from than on BNB Chain or Solana.
Nick Ducoff, general manager of institutional at the Solana Foundation, has framed stock tokens as a way to reach investors worldwide at internet scale, as our report on Securitize’s 12-stock Solana launch covered.
The DWF Labs data shows how far that still has to run. The $3.8 billion market equals just 0.005% of the $75 trillion US equity market.
Two numbers decide what comes next. Watch whether weekly DEX volume climbs back toward its $7.26 billion peak, and whether DeFi deployments push past $313 million.
If they do, stock tokens start to look like a market you trade on-chain, not just hold.
BNB Chain holds the biggest share today. Whether DeFi pools keep pace with the trading is what your portfolio actually depends on.
